Storage container questions

1. Will one of your storage containers be large enough to take my goods?

We have a wide range of storage containers ranging from 8x8ft to 40x8ft which can be linked or stacked to accommodate your storage needs.

2. Are there any restrictions to where I can put a storage container?

As long as there are no overhead cables, trees, or narrow entrances restricting access, delivering your storage container will be quick and efficient.

3. What is the minimum hire period for storage and shipping containers?

The minimum hire period for containers is 4 weeks.

4. What colour can my storage container be painted?

Storage containers can be painted any colour to blend into surroundings. We deliver containers painted in dark green unless otherwise requested.

5. Are your storage containers waterproof?

New storage and shipping containers are supplied in watertight condition, in accordance with ISO shipping container standards. Second hand containers are refurbished and checked before delivery.

6. How long will it take to get a storage container delivered?

We generally deliver containers within a few days. Next day delivery can be arranged if required.

7. What type of flooring is in a storage container?

Wooden flooring is standard in a storage container.

8. What type of locking facilities are provided on a storage container?

Containers are fitted with locking rods on both doors with a lock box to protect padlock. Padlock can be supplied on request.

9. What height are containers?

Containers are 8 feet 6 inches high.

10. What width are containers?

Containers are 8 feet wide.

11. What position are the doors in on a storage container?

Standard doors are at one end of the storage container but extra doors can be fitted on request.

12. Will my plot of land be suitable for offloading a storage container?

Ground should be relatively level and dry, although railways sleepers or concrete blocks can make the land level.

13. How far away from the lorry can the container be placed?

Containers can be placed approximately two container widths away from the lorry (16ft). Containers can be placed further away from lorry with the use of a crane.

14. How wide are lorries used for delivery?

Lorries are approximately 9 feet wide.

15. How high can storage containers be lifted (eg. over a fence)?

Providing the lorry can get close to the obstruction, containers can be lifted 12 feet high.

16. What height clearance is required for offloading under telephone/power cables to lift off lorry?

Container sits on vehicle from floor to top at 14 feet. With chains and crane attached, allow another 6ft clearance. (Total 20ft height clearance)
